About Us

About the house...

La Villa Celine is our recently refurbished nineteenth century Maison de Maitre. We are situated in the centre of the village of Saint Laurent de la Cabrerisse, opposite the Médiathèque on the Avenue de Narbonne (D613).

The house takes its name from Madame Céline Anna Peron who upon marrying her new husband, asked him to replicate her existing Paris residence in Saint-Laurent-de-la-Cabrerisse where the couple had decided to live.

The house was bequeathed to the village when Celine passed away in 1929, and was not used as a house to live in until we were fortunate enough to purchase the house from the village in 2013.

Within a 40km radius of Villa Céline there are so many things to see and do, and we hope that you will enjoy using Villa Céline as a base for you to explore this beautiful region.

We easy to find as it situated on the main route through the village, the Avenue de Narbonne (D613) and benefits from its central position as restaurants, bar, post office, bank with cash machine, chemist, cave co-operative, mini-market and summer café are all within a less than two minute walk of the villa.

Fortunately Villa Celine has also retained its large walled rear garden, so unusual for a property with such a central location.

The high walls give the swimming pool, which is positioned at the end of the garden, lots of privacy. Mature trees also gives part of the garden shade which is a welcome relief when the weather is hot. During the summer, breakfast can be served on the terrace that overlooks the back garden and swimming pool. It is a secluded and surprisingly quiet spot to enjoy your meal.

Many original features have remained intact such as stained glass, plaster covings and ceiling roses, parquet flooring, original large window frames, the tiled hallway, wood panelling and marble fireplaces.

There are four large guest bedrooms, The first is situated on the ground floor, the remainder of the ground floor is made up of a large hallway, guest lounge with television and a breakfast room complete with four separate tables. The final three bedrooms are situated on the first floor. All bedrooms come complete with recently fitted en-suites. Tea and Coffee making facilities are also included in each bedroom. The décor of each room is different with each bedroom being sympathetically renovated to capture the original grandeur of the house whilst benefitting from easy to use showers with room for all shapes and sizes.

Villa Celine is equipped with a Wi-fi connection. We have a strong wi-fi connection so if you wish to watch films, t.v. social media, etc, please bring your laptop or tablet with you, as there are no t.v’s in our guest bedrooms.

There is car parking available at both front and rear of the house, the garden is also large enough to take three cars. We also have secure parking for cyclists and motor bikes.
